[edit]The text on this page is from a book published in 1896 and is now public domain. Hiram Burnett is notable as founder of Trinity Church of Seattle, and co incorporator of the City of Seattle.
I have more biographical information about him which I intend to add to the page. I had started to add info and make corrections.
- I agree that a book published in 1896 is in the public domain. I'm actually concerned about the line at the bottom of the article that states: "Submitted to the WA. Bios Project in January 2004 by Jeffrey L. Elmer". That would seem to be an implied copyright, or at least enough of one to make me concerned. Do you have any comments on that? In the meantime, I'm going to add the "hangon" tag to the article itself -- it belongs there, not on this page. Accounting4Taste:talk 22:28, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- The specific page that is a duplicate of the material here is at [1] and seems to be an exact duplicate, down to the assertion about the Washington Bios project, Jeffrey L. Elmer, etc. I certainly agree that this individual seems notable, according to the notability guidelines -- I'm only concerned about the potential copyright violation. - I've tried to bring this to the attention of people more experienced in this area than I, and would ask any deleting admin to hold on until that opinion is proffered. If the page is somehow deleted, not to worry, bring it to my attention and I'll retrieve the material as appropriate. Accounting4Taste:talk 22:45, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- I've been informed that the material is in the public domain by someone more expert than myself and have accordingly removed my own copyvio tag. If I can be of any assistance in formatting this document, etc., feel free to leave me a note. Accounting4Taste:talk 22:56, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
